Hi, I am new to the forum and need help to ID a helmet with unusual red stripe on it from front to back.

I have seen footage of wounded being loaded onto ships on D Day and a person standing on the deck assisting the boom carrying the wounded had an exact same helmet on as mine.

Several attempts to have the stripes origin identified have failed. Any information about it would be great. If the link does not work, please let me know. mdwhouse@bigpond.net.au.
